New Jellyfish Papercutting

Just finished cutting and painting this one tonight.  This piece was a little different, since I already had a precise color scheme in mind when I drew the pattern in the first place.  The jelly tank at the aquarium where I took my model photographs had this bright vibrant blue color to it, and the jellyfish floating in it were yellows and golds against that blue- a gorgeous contrast.  I think I managed to duplicate pretty closely what I saw in my head for the painting behind this one.  I am so happy with how this piece turned out that I will probably be using it as one of my slides for show applications for next year.

I am loving the new location for my art table- since it is in the main living area of the house instead of tucked upstairs in a spare bedroom I actually end up using it instead of the counter.  And working at it for long periods of time makes my neck and back hurt much less than bending over the counter did.  Plus it us all neat!  (for now at least)  The lighting is much better too.
