Custom pet portrait progress
I am currently working on a custom pet portrait for a pair of customers I met at the Ann Arbor show last year. I decided (with their permission) to do a progress album on Facebook of their piece. I have been taking photos of each stage of the piece, from the original photo they gave me, my sketches, and the cutting of the piece. I am about 2/3 of the way done with the cutting now, and will continue to post pictures through the finished piece.

Large leopard jasper rosary finished
I loved the colors of these beads enough that I decided to break down and make another large bead rosary. Leopard jasper is an incredibly striking stone with reddish browns, chocolate colors, tans, golden yellows, grays, and black blending in spotted patterns..

Finished Saluki papercutting, final edition
Just finished cutting this guy this afternoon. This was a fairly recent pattern, and I am already on the final edition- 2/2! Have to find a new Saluki as a model I guess!

Paper Sculpture done- Mosaic Fan I
I finally managed to get my paper sculpture piece done! It is a black fan mounted on white. Each panel of the fan is cut with an x-acto knife into an intricate and unique mosaic design. The panels were all cut freehand with no sketching. I triple-matted the piece and mounted it in a shadowbox black metal frame.

Puli papercutting finished!!
Finally got this one completed- it took forever to cut, but I am really happy with the way it turned out! Trying to capture the 'dreadlock' coat texture rather than the typical textures I usually deal with was a bit of a challenge.. What do you think? Does this capture the essence of a Puli for you?

'Scattered' ACEO papercutting finished
This abstract design had a feel to it that reminded me of the way my mind typically works- particularly on a busy day- with thoughts and ideas shooting off in multiple directions at once. I'm sure many people can relate to that feeling! :)
