Tibetan Terrier and Siberian Husky pattern

The Tibetan Terrier I used for a model was from the 2008 Crown Classic show again. I had been trying to get good pics of this breed for a while (same problem with the eyes disappearing), so I was so excited to finally find a couple! And the man holding the other end of the leash was really friendly and great about posing him for me too!

My husky model was from either the Medina or the Chagrin Falls summer show a year or two ago..

Akita pattern

My Akita model for this new pattern came from the 2008 Crown Classic dog show as well. He was in the Meet the Breeds ring, and was an incredible sweetie.. just loving the people coming up to pet him.

Chow Chow pattern

My photo model for my new Chow pattern was from the 2008 Crown Classic again. This pup was particularly interesting for two reasons.. His handler told me that since the short-coated Chows are less common, it is a lot harder to finish one, and apparently this pup has been doing very well in shows. And secondly, he was the friendliest Chow I had ever met- seemed at least a little interested in sniffing the people that walked by, and even took a piece of chicken from my hand when his handler gave it to me.. The handler was telling me that it was a combination of genetics (picking parent dogs that were more relaxed around people), and socializing the crud out of the puppy.. :) Either way, he had done a great job, and the pup was a beautiful dog.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pattern

I needed a new Cavi pattern, and I got some great pics of one at the last Crown Classic- a little tricolor lying on a grooming table. S/he looked so regal lying there with the big soulful eyes and the tufted paws hanging over the edge! I have a bit of a soft spot for Cavis since we have talked about getting one somewhere down the line, and I am a particular fan of the tricolors and black-and-tans, which are both a little less common, so that made it extra fun!

Horse pattern

I got the picture I used for this pattern at the horse show I went to this past summer. This horse was tacked up and working when I took his/her picture. Looked like maybe a morgan or arab cross? Very handsome bay..

Kerry Blue Terrier pattern

Finally got a good picture of a Kerry at the December Crown Classic dog show. They are hard to get good pictures of them since they are so dark colored (not solid black, but close) and the fuzz they have growing on their faces- half the time you can't see eyes!! The same issues make Bouviers and Black Russian Terriers tough too.. :)

Bullmastiff, Bouvier, and Aussie patterns

Well, this is the last day of my holiday time off, so the pattern production will slow down quite a bit once I am back at work. But I did get a lot done over my vacation this year!! Now I just need to buckle down and cut one cutting on each of the new patterns I made- hopefully I can get that done before my show season starts in April or May...

I wanted to replace an older pattern for the Australian shepherd. My model here was from one of the years at the Crown Classic, and was a beautiful blue merle with blue eyes:

My Bouvier des Flandres pattern was also older, and I got a couple great Bouvier pics at the Crown Classic last month. One of the Bouviers was in the meet the breeds ring and seemed to absolutely LOVE being scratched behind the ears, so I got some good petting in before I snapped his picture.

The Bullmastiff was also replacing an older pattern. I ended up using an older photo as my model for this one- also Crown Classic dog show, but from 3 or 4 years ago.

Am Staff and Jack Russell patterns

I needed a new Jack Russell / Parson Russell pattern since I am on the last edition of one of my current ones. Found a really cute puppy at the meet the breeds ring at the Crown classic.. I had seen her last year too, but she was a little puppy then and was incapable of sitting still, so I couldn't get a picture of her. This year she was a little older and a little calmer.. :)

I also got a couple pictures that I loved of a very friendly American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull) being happy and smiley. She was sooo excited to meet people that she just couldn't sit still.
